ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Tom Docherty has been writing about RAF history since 1978 and had his first book, TRAINING FOR TRIUMPH, published in 2000. This was followed by HUNT LIKE A TIGER in 2003. A change of publisher followed for OURS TO HOLD in 2004. These books were followed by two more published in early 2007 by Pen & Sword - DINGHY DROP and No 7 BOMBER SQUADRON RAF IN WORLD WAR II. OURS TO HOLD is due for republication in 2008.

Tom's 6th book SWIFT TO BATTLE, a history of No 72 Squadron's fighter years in 3 volumes is being prepared for publication by Pen & Sword. He has served for many years with the RAF and spent time on several of the squadrons he has written about. He is married with four children and lives on the Moray coast.
